Power & Empower

Advancing Energy Security and Economic Growth

Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) Kosovo is the outcome of a collaborative partnership between the United States of America and the Republic of Kosovo, established through the signing of the MCC-Kosovo Compact Agreement in July 2022. Built on a foundation of American leadership and shared priorities, our mission is to deliver a results-driven Compact Program that strengthens energy security and promotes economic growth in Kosovo.

Our Mission

MCA Kosovo’s primary objective is to implement the Compact Program—an ambitious initiative that includes:

  • Energy Storage Project – delivering reliable, modern energy infrastructure.
  • JETA Project – equipping men, women, and youth with in-demand skills for high-quality jobs in the energy sector.
  • American Catalyst Facility for Development (ACFD) Project – mobilizing private investment to expand Kosovo’s energy security and capacities.

These projects support Kosovo’s ability to meet its own energy needs with affordable and reliable power and open new pathways for economic growth.
