Read MoreMCA Kosovo has identified the need to dislocate the existing 10(20) kV network segment, to proceed with the development of the planned Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project. The current medium-voltage network is located within the perimeter designated for the construction of BESS infrastructure, which could challenge the civil and electrical works, and installation of the main system equipment. Hence, the relocation of the 10(20) kV network is a necessary intervention to ensure the required technical space and to comply with electrical safety distances and standards.
In addition to the technical aspect, the network relocation process is directly linked to administrative procedures. As a starting point, a preliminary permit was granted, constituting the basic documentation required to proceed with the relocation of the energy infrastructure.
The completion of the relocation and the issuance of the preliminary permit created the necessary conditions for the uninterrupted continuation of the BESS project, ensuring safe development in accordance with legal and technical requirements in the Municipality of Istog.
